About Me

Ang Li is a multimedia journalist based in New York City and currently produces video content for TIME. She has produced shareable digital videos on national and international news, from Charlottesville attack to the rollback on the Dream Act, to tensions between the United States and North Korea. Ang has reported on criminal justice, social justice, China-related business news.

She started her journalism career by covering breaking and metro news for China Daily USA in New York, where, she also had the chance to hone her skills covering international news. After pursuing a graduate degree in journalism at Columbia University, she rose to the challenge to revamp the video coverage for the newsroom of the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer. She practiced shoe-leather reporting, shot and produced multimedia packages as a one-woman band. In 2016, she joined AJ+ as a video fellow, pitching original stories, conducting interviews, producing viral videos for different social platforms. The 20 videos she produced attracted more than 11 million viewers.
